Dutch Young Adults Conference 2012

On Saturday the 3th of March there was a Youth Day organised by the Huntington Association. The theme of this day was: How does Huntington Disease affects you and your life? Around 11 o clock we all gathered around at a table, drinking coffee or tea accompanied with a cookie. Everybody was socializing with each other and asking how life has been and how life is at the moment.

When everybody was present we traditionally let everybody tell their name, what his or her connection was with Huntington Disease and what they had been thru. There were some new members but I guess they felt very welcome from the beginning. After introducing ourselves we got some information about 2 new websites: HDBuzz (an English website translated in Dutch with a lot of scientific information about the latest research) and HDYO (an English website about Huntington Disease written for young people). We also could have a look at those websites. Both the websites are very interesting and worthwhile your time!

After the information about the websites we had lunch. Some volunteers made sandwiches and soup and together we had a very cosy and tasteful lunch. There was enough for everyone! After lunch there was a creative part: we could paint the logo from the Huntington Association the way we liked it. And as you can see on the picture the logo became very colourful, modern and especially it became ours!
