Seeking missing puzzle piece of biological granddad - Australia

Hi guys,
I am hoping someone can shed some light on a family puzzle for me.
We didn't know HD was in our family, until my mum was diagnosed with it when she did a bunch of tests to rule out what was affecting her moods, coordination and the gamete of other symptoms we were noticing. Mum was one of 8 children, and she was the only one that had HD. After some family discussions , a family skeleton in the closet was exposed, in that my nanna had an affair while my granddad was away during the war, and mum was a result of that.
I bear no bad feelings in regards to this, but have a very strong desire to find out who this man was.
All I know is that whilst he would have passed away by now, he was born somewhere between 1915 - 1925 approximately, and was showing movements in 1960.
He lived in QLD to my knowledge, and was a travelling salesman. He received visits from my grandmother in Innisfail and Mossman, and his name was short, and something like Ray or Roy.
I know that this is an incredibly long shot, but if any of this sounds familiar, I'd love to hear from you.
Kind regards,

This is just a bump to refresh this, in case someone sees it that may know something.
I had someone in the HDYO community comment to me that they saw my post and it was funny.
I don't really think the scenario is humorous in any way, and am just hoping that someone can shed some light on this for me. Fingers crossed :)
