Are people in pain when they have HD?

Q. Are people in pain when they have hd

Blaze, Child, USA

Ask a question

A. Dear Blaze.

Thanks for the great question.  People with HD are not usually in pain.  They may have the usual aches and pains that we all have (toothache, tummyache etc) and some people with HD can get muscle pains too.

However, most of my patients with HD are not in pain.

I guess that means that if a person with HD has some pain, we have to try and work out why that might be.

I hope that helps

with best wishes
