Why does it effect people so much?

Q. Why does it effect people so much?

Ask a question

A. Hi Eva, thank you for your very good question. People with HD have three types of symptoms: mind, mood and movements. A long time ago people thought HD was about the movements and nothing else, but actually HD is a brain condition. This means people with HD struggle to use their brain. The brain is a very important part of our body so if that isn’t working right then everything else can stop working right too. The brain is what controls our movements, how we think and everything else. This is why HD affects people so much, because it makes people’s brains poorly.

I hope this helps. Email us again if you have more questions or want to talk.
