HDYO is recruiting for a new staff role to expand our team.

The Huntington’s Disease Youth Organization’s (HDYO) is looking to employ an Executive Director to take forward the further development and implementation of HDYO’s Strategic Plan. HDYO has grown epinastically since its inception in 2012 and are now working to capacity with its current staffing and volunteer structure. The role of Executive Director is pivotal to next stage of the organizations growth. The Executive Director role will free up the Project Co-ordinator enabling them to concentrate on developing and delivering website content, educational projects and language availability rather than day to day organization management.

Working closely with the Chair of the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will give vision, direction and leadership to the formulation and achievement of the HDYO’s, financial security, effective human resources and management skills to develop and maintain its services and its renowned reputation for excellence. The post holder will be responsible for the overall management and administration of the HDYO’s services in the execution of HDYO’s Strategic Plan. The post holder will be the lead senior executive with overall responsibility for the operation of HDYO. While the Executive Director role has a principally strategic focus, the role also incorporates some operational duties in partnership with the Project Co-ordinator and Director of Youth Services.
